Khuruldai

Not all those who wander are lost

Overview

We're a free company on Balmung (Crystal, NA) looking for friendly people to join us in roleplaying and content. We offer a relaxed atmosphere with no activity requirements or limits on what kind of character you can play. Our membership is spread across the globe but we're approximately 70-30 split between North America and Europe with a few in Asia Pacific. Our roleplay is character-driven. We don't provide an overarching story but everyone is welcome to run events and we can give you guidance for shaping your own. That said, we do host a monthly bar night (The Dozing Dzo), engage in pop-up roleplay and visit public venues as a group. Aside from roleplay, we also run roulettes and other casual content together when there's interest. When we're not in game, we stream movies to watch together, hang out in voice chat, play other games and more. Much like our roleplay, we don't necessarily lead any social activities and instead encourage everyone to host and participate as they wish. Our main sentiment here is you get what you give - if there's something you want to see, you need to take the first step.

Rules

  • Have a basic understanding of roleplay etiquette and lore, e.g. no godmodding or metagaming. The extent to which you abide by the lore is up to you but bear in mind that some may not wish to engage with an extremely lore-defiant character.

  • Be kind and respect each other. We do not tolerate harassment, bigotry or discrimination of any kind. We are also enthusiastically LGBTQ+ friendly.

  • Use discretion and common sense when discussing sensitive topics. If conflict begins to develop, please back off and continue privately if necessary.

  • We welcome sprouts so be mindful of spoiling content both new and old. If in doubt, spoiler tag it.

  • Keep adult content out of public spaces. Pornography and illegal content are strictly forbidden.

  • No posting of AI-generated images or art. Because AI is trained on the work of countless artists without their permission, we cannot condone it here.

Ranks

  • Irsen ("Newcomer") is where all new members start, to give both you and us a chance to see if we're a good fit for each other. You can only access the first tab of the company chest for our safety.

  • Suugch ("Settled") is for those who have decided to stay. You can access the first four tabs of the company chest and deposit gil. If you purchase private chambers in the estate, we will reimburse you the room costs (300,000 gil).

  • Eeljlen ("Alternative") is for alts. If you have a main character and want to join with another one, the second (and third, fourth, etc.) will be given this rank.

  • Itgesen ("Supporter") are our officers. They invite new members, document changes and assist with any questions or concerns. They can also remove gil from the company chest for room reimbursement.

  • Khatun ("Leader") are our founders but their role is practically identical to Itgesen.

Staff

Khuruldai ("Gathering") was founded by a group of itinerant Xaela who bonded together during their travels beyond the Azim Steppe. They eventually settled into a new home in Eorzea and now open their doors to all desiring a home but without ties to hold them down. All of the founders, save the caretaker, are NPCs. Members are welcome to involve or mention them in their roleplay so long as they don't come to any harm.

  • Enkhmaa Bayaqud: Owner and Caretaker. Warm and welcoming.

  • Gansukh: Blacksmith and Mender. Communicates in grunts and glares.

  • Monkhbat: Bartender and Salvager. Talks too much and probably sampling fogweed on the job.

  • Odgerel: Attendant and Junkmonger. Both polite and fastidious to a fault.

  • Temuujin: Chef and Material Supplier. Perpetually tired gourmand.

  • Zolzaya: Treasurer and Melder. Filled with enough energy to power the sun.

Estate

Flyers can be found throughout the main city-states advertising a place called Kholyn Ger ("Faraway Home") at Plot 35, 12 Ward, Mist. They're decorated with small, somewhat crude drawings of traditional nomadic tents but the script itself is quite smooth and elegant. The flyers claim that the Ger is both a refuge for those who have chosen to walk their own path as well as neutral ground for all to meet, much like Reunion in the Azim Steppe. For a nominal fee, one can acquire a room within the premises and make use of the estate's shared facilities. Interested parties are bid to speak with the owner and caretaker.Members can assume they purchased a room from Enkhmaa once they've joined or request a short roleplay scene with her if preferred.Large red script states that the rules of Reunion apply here, in that violence or disturbing the peace is strictly prohibited, whether by physical or magical means. Examples include but are not limited to inciting a fight, assaulting someone and restricting someone's autonomy. There is zero tolerance for infractions, no matter how small, and transgressors will be removed from the premises permanently. The sole exception is that friendly sparring is permitted in the designated space outside (Room #21).

Public Rooms

  • Room #7: Jagdai Dotharl's personal quarters at the Ger. Always open to friends and their companions.

  • Room #8: An oasis-themed spa and bathhouse open to all at any time.

  • Room #12: A small library and classroom at the Ger with a built-in cafĂ©. The library is always open and the classroom is available for use at any time. Please do not take books without permission as the librarian and archivist will be very upset.

  • Room #17: Chinatsu Tenchya's personal quarters and weavery at the Ger. Always open.

  • Room #18: The Moonflower Lounge at the Ger was donated and furnished by Sylvie Belanger. Always open for anyone looking to relax.

  • Room #21: A fighting arena located in a hut outside the Ger. Always open to those who wish to join or observe friendly spars.

  • Room #25: A quiet spot located deep in the Twelveswood. Always open to those looking for a moment of respite.

  • Room #28: The Flying Rose breakfast cafe is always open and managed by NPCs.
